Just downloaded, (20Mb in 8 mins on cable!!) what can I say except AMAZING!!!!

Only problem is I can't play it!! :(

My system can't handle it!!! Am gonna try tweaking my system to make it run better (getting 3-7fps in the core room!!)

Keep up the good work LivingDeadJedi, I look forward to the next release of this map and your next work!!!

 Llawnroc

For those getting less than 10fps or even 20fps, here is a little command line that might help ya enjoy the map a little better, I know it helped me... under the console, type these command lines

seta Hunkmegs #(amount of RAM)

eg.

seta Hunkmegs 192

and

com_maxfps 120 /// this will default JO to up the Max FPS to 120, instead of the default 85, which is a big difference, especially for us that don't have the GeForce 4 cards with a million MB of RAM!! :)

I went from 15fps to 29 fps in the core room, and in some places went from 50fps to 100fps!!! and I am running an AMD 900 (overclocked in the bios to 972) with 192 MB RAM, Radeon 7200 AGP series 15: monitor (can;'t wait for 32" TV to come) Sound BLaster LIVE! X-Gamer and surround sound system... so unfortunately when I die, it echoes in my ears!!! HEHE

For the people with the texture problem:

The map uses too many shaders, therefore most of the map appears to consist of the "none" texture (the grey boxes).

For people with lots of RAM it is no porblem, but people playing with 64 MB or 128 MB and a program in the backgound will find it unbearable.

I have 512 megs of ram, and a geforce 3. Just about everythings is those grey boxes. Bloody hell, I don't even have any virus programs.

Just for everyone's information, I think I have a pretty good idea on why everything is showing up as grey boxes... Could it possibly be you are trying to run the map under single player and NOT multiplayer as it was intended for? I know this may seem far fetched, but I tried everything in MP to get even 1 grey box to show up, but when I tried Single Player, 80% of the map was nothing but grey boxes.. This map will only run CORRECTLY under MP, NOT Single Player. SP doesn't load up CUSTOM textures.. It was designed to, and no script in the map will tell it to, ok everyone? if anything have it be a lan server and run it that way so you don't have people trying to join the game when you are just wanting to see the map... Hope that solves the grey map problem

No it does not solve the damn prob! I am waiting for my ISDN to be fixed and have a measly 28k connection! Under 1/2 my usual#.

Besides, reborns are more fun, especially if you want to recreate DOTF.
