Having some problems . . . .

I have got an AMD K6 500, 256 mb Ram, Radeon 7000 32mb, sound blaster pci 16, and once I installed the game it loads fine, but the sound is really choppy and quite irritating. Any ideas?

Try turning down Hardware Acceleration for your soundcard a notch or two. The Soundblaster 16 PCI is very dependent on the CPU, which in your case isn't that fast by today's standards. If you can afford to upgrade, you can get a Fortissmo II soundcard for around $50.

Also make sure that soundquality is set to low and eax is disabled in gamesetup.
