LCPD
I am starting to make maps. I made 1 for q3 but it took forever. I kinda suck at this. Does anyone know of a map maker for JKII that is easy to use and can have single play mode. I will be very grateful for any response.
Demyse
GTKRadiant. You can get it at http://www.qeradiant.com. Its almost exactly like Q3Radiant (which I'm guessing you used last time) but then again, JK2Radiant is even more like Q3Radiant. (It even comes with the complimentary instability). GTK allows SP, and as with the rest of the Radiants, it can be quick and easy to learn. A good place to start for tutorials is here http://www22.brinkster.com/ravenmapping/tutorials.asp. Just don't give up, and you'll be making decent maps in no time.

dvader28
Heck yeah! I started using jk2 radiant. It was slow, unstable and YOU COULDN'T SELECT MULTIPLE FACES. Then i switched to GTK and my life is one long, sweet mapping heaven. The only thing it doesn't have is the arrows to show which way an entity is facing >:|
ape2man
yes it does , GtkRadiant has that little cute arrow sticking out of that little cute red box. Ps : guys does GtkRadiant have a search tool like JK2Radiant for textures and shaders.
JACK RABBITz
Hmm, one question. I have also installed the GTK. I make one Map (a little testmap), compile and start in the Game. The Game say: You use version 46. Sorry, im german i search the right words... The version from Quake to RTCW and Quake to JK 2 are 46 to 47. How i do it in the GTK? GTK is much better yes, but at the moment i cant understand how i can change the version after or bevore i compile bsp_fullvis.
Demyse
Sounds like your using GTK Radiant version 1.2.1. Your gonna have to go get the new GTK Radiant version 1.2.8-jk2 unless you want to compile your maps with JK2Radiant.
dvader28
i only get the little white arrow on my info_player_start entity, nothing else
LCPD
thanx guys. I downloaded both to see which one was better and GTK Radiant was much easier to use and had more options. I am now working on a single player map of the death star. I hope to make it like the escape from the death star in episode four. you'll play as luke (or kyle, because i don't know how to change his skins) and the objective is to get to the falcon. it'll be short and sweet. I hope I can make vader and obi wan duking it out in the corner like the jedi trainers you can watch in the yavin level. does anyone know how to put two bots against each other? thanks again. die jarjar! he killed episode
