1. i must say that my english is not very good, so sorry if the thread already excists

 

now my problem:

 

i Have an Unmod. Server that means new skins and models are not allowed, but i want to see ne models and skins on my server

 

now my question:

 

how to do that?

To allow clients to use skins/models that are not installed on the server you need to run it unpure. Now, the problem with that is it would allow people to use a variety of cheats on the server--such as wallhacks. In the end, for a client to see a skin/model, they need to have that same skin/model installed. If they do not, they'll just see a default model.

Actually, you don't have to make the server unpure to see models and skins, but you do have to put them in your base folder on the server. And then the clients must also have the same models to see them.

 

 

The advantage of unpure mode is that regardless of what you have on the server skins wise, the clients can see each others models as long as everyone else has them. But the disadvantage of course is your more open to cheating.

I was guessing that the question was how to accomplish the goal without putting the skins on the server. I could have been mistaken in that assumption.
