I kinda have to agree with Gonk here. The arms are a bit weird. Back up close to a wall and look sorta down over his shoulder, and then taunt. You'll see his arm stretch out and it kinda looks odd.

Other than that, he's definetly the best looking model out there! Keep up the good work!

I've already converted the 3 Maul Models into the SP game. :D

I used the red one to replace Jan (as a joke). I just wanted to see if she works alongside Darth Maul who replaced Kyle. I also had the blue Maul replace Kyle. They all work fine in SP. Hopefully this link will work.

Anyway, Kat and everyone else... you did a fantastic job! It appears to me that the modelers here are better than the guys at Raven. :)

On the arms.........................

Well, with his baggy sleeves I had to compromise some here. Fact is I've spent the last two weeks on the arms alone. Otherwise he'd have been done long ago. The shoulders too are due to the skeleton. I had to fit him around the skeleton.

It's really a learning curve, when you cant manipulate verts and stuff in the animations.

Sounds... Well we did everything in our power to pull the music out of it, but it was as best as we could get it. Temptous did a hell of a job on them.

Force Push? He falls proper for me. Do you have any Screenies?

Also Look at Mauls head from the front. He has a weird shaped noggin, so from the back it may seem small, but I'm pretty sure it's proportionate.

Sorry if it's a disappointment.

As for the SP version, I'm working on getting the sounds to work in SP then I'll ship it out.

Thanks All!

This is pretty cool. I extracted Lady Maul out of the Lady Brena Model and had her replace Jan in the single player game. Darth, of course, replaced Kyle. Now I have "The Mauls". At the moment they replace Kyle and Jan, but I'm gonna change that and have them replace Tavion and Desann instead. But in the meantime, here's a screenshot of "The Mauls":

hey angry, could you let me know how to use the red and blue skins in SP? I have no prob with maul in SP but when I try to use the red or blue the model shows up but the colour is all messed up :(

do I have to rename the red skin to the default model?

cheers bud.

If you want to play as red Maul or Blue Maul then create 2 folders (one is for red, the other is for blue).

This is the Instruction to play as "Blue Maul" in SP. It works for me so it should work for you:

Extract each file that says blue and place it in your new blue folder.

Extract the "model_blue.skin" and place that in your blue folder

Extract "model.glm" and put that in your blue folder

Extract "animsounds.cfg" and put that in your blue folder

Extract "Thumbs.db" and pu that in your blue folder

After you do all that, make sure you rename the "model_blue.skin" to this: "model_default.skin".

Also, make sure you didn't change any of the Stormtrooper files within the "model_default.skin".

When done, rename your blue folder to kyle (i'm assuming you're replacing Kyle) and make 2 new folders: players & models.

Place the kyle folder into the players folder.

Then place your players folder into the models folder.

Now zip the models folder with winzip then rename the extension from .zip to .pk3. Thats it. I hope it helps.

Follow the same instructions if you want to play as "Red Maul". Just extract all of the files that says red.

cheers angry, I tried what I though might work and it did :) instead of making a new folder all you have to do is take out the default skin, rename the red skin to default skin, zip it back up and that's that :) likewise for the blue skin. I have maul as tavion, the red maul as reborn and the blue maul as shadowtrooper :)

You get some interesting results with the reborn mod when it changes from reborn to rebornboss/forceuser/fencer. I had another skin I was using for the reborn which I forgot to take out before I put the maul one in and when it changed to a reborn boss I ended up with this cool new skin that has black chainmail armor, red eyes, and a cool new look for the head using the maul model. Was a plesent surprise.

do you mean for the taunt in single player it's still the reborn taunt? or do you mean for all the sounds?

For the taunt to work in SP you have to name it taunt1.mp3 not taunt.mp3 or elce you wont hear the right one. Appart from that I thought you'd just zip up a file sound/characters/reborn/misc and it would work...haven't tried that one myself though.

Everything is perfect other than I really dont like a jump sounds on people, so I removed it.;) Some of the quality of the other sounds werent that great either but they are ok. Otherwise everything else is great. Top notch model.
