a lot of people were suprised when yoda unleashed in the movie.. i really wasnt to tell you the truth.

anyone who knows a little about asian history/culture knows of the old master who seems like hes ready fall over and die any second.

theres the one story of a young akido(i think akido) student who saw a master in a tavern and goded him into fighting. the old man seemed so frail and the young man kept pushing him and pushing him attacking until the old man was in danger of being killed.

long story short? one hit by the old man in a certian spot and bam the young guy falls over dead. hehe.

i guess another example for those of you who watch dragonball z... who would think that master yoshi, the horney old man with a turtle shell on his back and walks with a cain is probably the most powerful fighter on earth.

remember everything yoda does and says when luke first meets him in ep 2.. like thinks hes some dog or something thats come to bother him.. and after luke acts like a newb yoda sighs and says he is not ready for the training.

yoda is so budhist/asian master type character. PLUS he his humble.. he doesnt walk around like anikin flaunting his force.. he is not what he seems.

HENCE yoda unleashs on count dooku hehe. and who the hell would of thought yoda lead armies.

Nah, I wasn't too shocked to see Yoda wail on Dooku. Greatly amused, yes. I was laughing my ass of for like 2 days after seeing it. But not shocked. Everyone kept saying in the movies how strong Yoda was, especially in Ep1 when Obi-Wan compares Anakin's midi-chlorian count saying it surpassed even that of Master Yoda. And since Vader was such a badass with his saber and the force, I knew that if Yoda were to get in a scrap he'd beat some ass. I just never expected Lucas to show the little green guy sport an attitude lol.

I really DID enjoy Yoda's fight scene. Others I know hated it ("he walks with a cane, but then he can flip around like that?! Nuh-uh!" or, "It was just stupid,", or "It was funny as ****, but unbelievable.")

Before this point, Yoda was "respected", but really only as a figurehead of the Jedi Order; he had shown "authority", but not really "power". I thought it was HIGH time everyone knew just how powerful he was (he ABSORBS force LIGHTNING?!?!?!! Wow!!!) His "wigging out" with the saber - I thought - was a good testament to how the Force can overcome the "impossible", ("Do, or do not. There is no try.")and how powerful one CAN be when attuned to the force.

I thought yoda kicked a lot of ass not only as a fighter but as a military leader..he really seemed to know what he was doing ordering all those troops around....my thought is that if yoda can fight like that at 700+ years old imagine how much of a badass he was in the prime of his life..:yoda::saberg::syoda::rhett:
