Loading bug and vodoo 3

probably you ve already discussed about this on this board.. but since the search function doesn t work i have to make a new post.

 

here's my problem.. i have a vodoo 3 3500..

WHEN i am playing the games works fine! no problems at all..

the problem is when i die..

i usually have to exit the game, restart it and reload from the last save..

cause the first time that i open the game and i go in the "load" page i have no problem.. and it reloads the game..

when i die if i click it takes a lot of time and it blocks almost everytime ..

if i go to the "load" page.. the game "chops"

 

the problem is that i have played so far to the level where you go with lando and his starship to cloud city..

i can see the final scene (where kyle has his dream )

but when it loads the new sheme always block itself (where you see the statistics of the level, how many hits, prefered weap..) and i have to restart my computer..

 

perhaps there is a way to solve this?

an unofficial patch for 3dfx or another thing?

Bleh, more voodoo spam. What part of "3DFX is out of buisness and nothing will ever support them again" don't you understand?

 

Go buy a nvidia based card.

Are you running your voodoo 3 with wicked gl? this solved all of my loading problems (crashing after loading) as well as allowed me to view the cutscenes which i couldn't do before.

how do u install wicked gl so it runs for jedi knight 2 or where can i get it

You can download it from http://www.wicked3d.com. It won't run Jedi Outcast as is, so you have to open the folder, (it will be under Metabyte) now open the wicked gl folder, and then the use note pad to view wglgames, and it will show a list of the games supported. Type: "Jedi Outcast"jk2sp.exe,opengl32.dll you can also do the same for multi-player, by replacing sp with mp, but i think it will still work if you don't.
