The curved hilt was from an earlier time when Lightsaber dueling happened a lot more often, the curved hilt gives it's user greater finesse when fighting than conventional Lightsaber hilts, combined with Dooku's Form II Lightsaber Combat training which gives him greater knowledge of dueling techniques than most Jedi he makes a formidable opponent.

Thanks for the replies all.

Emon: If I bent it anymore your player's left hand would be holding onto nothing. :(

ThirdGenRX7: Someone mentioned to me that it being curved makes doing spinny moves easier or something. Who knows though. It looks cool. :)

I'm using Max 4, i've got the tag file(from Polycount) and i've got my model positioned and sized correctly(at least from the md3 i've exported out of Milkshape). I just don't know where the tags go and what all models there should be because the default sabor has 1 .glm and 2 .md3(one for high and low quality), but the other models only have .glm's(i think...). I've got Pop n' Fresh's MD3 Exporter and the XSI exporter. I just wish max 4 had an MD3 Importer(that works and imports the tags).

Garik: Looks awesome, I'm all for it! :)

Omega: The tags are like this - flash is where the blade comes from, and parent is where your person's right hand holdes the hilt. If you got the tags from polycount I assume they're rotated correctly.. When I was learning how to get sabers in game, it took me forever because I made the tags myself, and I couldn't get the blade to come out straight.. It kept ending up coming out sideways. :p

Then for the model files I think all you need is a .glm which you make with md3view. I put both the md3 and the glm in my pk3s though just in case cause I'm not totally sure about it yet. This is the first Q3 engine game I've made any models for so I'm not exactly a fountain of knowledge yet.

Thanks. Now i'm going to get my sabor in game(i don't have any pics yet) although its kinda basic shaped. I made it that way because its for a halted mod where your a young padawan, so i figured it should be basic.

First I would like to say awsome job on the hilts, and now a little bit of bad news. It seem when you try to download your hilts off of JK2.net it keeps giving a 404 error, and the anakin saber seems to have been altered, because when you try to use it, it doesnt work. I went to this forum, and got the hilts and they work just fine and I must say that they rock. I sent you a coulple of e-mails on this subject as well, and as stated in the mail, I think you need to let JK2.net know that is happening. Sincerely Enslaver22
