BradFu Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 Well, I finished most of this about a week ago, but I was having some trouble with the bot stuff, so I stopped working on it for a while. This is Master Tauw, a reptilian alien of an undetermined species. He's a relatively young Jedi Master (about 40) around the time of Episode 2, but is known in the Jedi order as being extremely well-attuned to the Force. Angry Sandwich Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 You did an excellent job on the face. Love that skin color. One problem: the clothes he's wearing clashes with the face and hands. Perhaps you can try a different style of clothes and/or color it differently. Again, nice job.

I think I'm going to at least whiten the pants a bit. The clash was actually partially intentional, to make it maybe a little more interesting that he would be wearing clothes like that. BradFu!
Nanodagiardino Posted May 28, 2002 Posted May 28, 2002 Very nice! But I agree on the clothing, darker at least. And then jedi can also change uniform sometime, no? When they train I bet they wear more light "stuff" seeing those guys in robe all the time makes me sweat just thinking about it. And then there are many variants, etc... Takes more time to make up though . One small advice, the neck right under the jaw could use a little more shading. You see it better in the animated gif, it's hard to tell were the chin ends and the neck starts. The rest is very good.

BradFu Posted May 28, 2002 Author Posted May 28, 2002 Yup, he's definitely one of the good guys A lot of what I was going for in this skin is to make him rather menacing, but in reality, he's a wise and kind Jedi Master Those that have seen Last Starfighter will probably recall the initial reaction to Grig, how Alex is completely intimidated by him, then he turns out to be extremly friendly. That's kind of what I was going for BradFu!

I was working on a new set of Jedi clothes for another model, and when I got done, I realize they were about 5x as good as Master Tauw's, so I've given him a variation of the new outfit. http://windu.cjb.net/tauwnew.jpg BradFu!
BradFu Posted May 31, 2002 Author Posted May 31, 2002 Master Tauw is now complete, including sounds. I've created a custom taunt, and modified the Jedi1 sounds to fit him. As I mentioned in the original thread, Master Tauw has a new Padawan.
