adillon
IDEAS FOR SITH NAMES: - darth strife? (conflict/rivalry) - darth havoc? (chaos/mayhem) - darth fracas? (disturbance/melee) i know, i know, these names are kind of cheesy, but don't sith names "try" to actually mean something, at least some of the time: tyrannus - tyranny/dictatorship maul - attack/injure vader - who the f*** knows?! sidious - again, wtf?! if he's just a dark jedi, i have no idea. i know there's a "formula" to create your "official" star wars name. i've also heard you can create a star wars name by pronouncing your name backwards (adding hyphens and apostrophes as necessary). did you try either of these? i don't think i've helped you at all, but you've done a very commendable job, wolf! i like the taunt, too! ROCK ON!!
quamosity
Vader is Dutch for father, if I remember correctly. I discovered that in my textbook for my godawful History of the English Language class. Hope that helps

L2.0
If you name him Wolf, I'd rather (personal opinion) not see DARTH tagged onto his name. All Sith lords don't use "darth" in their names, it's a popular "add-on" by Lucas after he re-wrote ANH. It seems like for Jedi/Sith, the best way to go is with "BS" characters. (e.g. ' ` -) or "doubled up" consonants. How about something like Va'rahn Garssalicc or SOMETHING that's just plain weird.
antpocas
*new here* That guy's face isn't right! The armor/clothes look sweet for a dark jedi but the face is waaayyyy too "light". My 2 cents.
Zain Sundancer
he should have a hood or some hair, or maybe he could be black........ my two cents
Klorel
why settle for black? this is starwars, go green, maybe even multicolored with a strange buzz cut (like blade). well, not necesarilly green, but a pure sith isn't normal, he's either dark(maul, vader) or light->pale (sidious). sith go for the contrast look, while jedi like more "earthy colors" traditionally. the only somewhat normal sith is dooku, but he's a new guy in the business, and has yet to work on his paleness. good work though, looking cool. whats the story behind him? can't wait to download this one
JRA_Wolf
Sorry about the lack of updates lately..been having some comp troubles, and Morrowind has been keeping me addicted as of late. Right now, I'm trying to weight the model and just get it in-game...I have the skin finished, and I took the advice about the skin color...I made him kinda pale looking. And he's human, for the time being. perhaps I will make an alien skin variant. Also, to anyone who knows...I need help...When i select the torso segment, and apply the skin modifier, should I add the "pelvis" bone to the envelope list? I'm not quite sure...in Spacemonkey's tutorial, he shows the pelvis in the picture of the torso with the other bones, but I'm not sure if it's meant to be applies to the torso or not...help? ^_^;
BradFu
Hmm, I really like Darth Strife or Darth Havoc, very cool names He actually needs two names, though. As far as all the Sith having a Darth name, yes, they do, at least as far back as 1000 years ago. Perhaps Darth Bane was the first one to take a Darth name, and since he reorganized the Sith order into what it is in the Prequels, maybe they all take a Darth name to honor him. If he's a Sith, I would definitely go with a Darth name. If he's a just a Dark Jedi, go with something else. I vote for Darth Havoc, seems to fit with his looks BradFu! JRA_Wolf
*sigh* problems...I got all of the vertices weighed and stuff, and I got it compiled into a glm file..but everything is messed up...there are body parts everywhere, lol...I think I screwed up the hierarchy(sp) somewhere, so *blah* gonna have to relink all of the tags or something I guess.. for the name, I was thinking Annon Strevok, or Darth Strevok...The Darth name seems kinda Cliche these days so I'm not sure if i will go with that... dtts
This guy looks like either a Darth Brutal (yes I know someone already said it), or a Darth Sanguine (bloodthirsty)
Absath
Yeah we felt the same way about the Darth title on our model JRA. We were considering it for a time...went through such variations as Darth Vicious etc... in the end we decided that since our sith existed in the time period before Darth Bane's rule, before the Darth title and 2 sith rule went into affect, not to use it. I do think it is a tad cliche, not to mention that all the sith from Darth Bane to Darth Vader are known to us, its a little harder to create a story for an original character in that period. My suggestions would be a Sith sounding name, or maybe even create your own title -Abs
threehams
Too much darkside now aday. Make him a jedi. Might I suggest Mallard Cixon / (Jedi/Padawan)(Darth/Sith) Cixon. Pronounced Six-on or Sci-un. Whichever you prefer. And maybe make the saber ridges(on the handle) black, or like a chrome or something. To make the model stick out.
JRA_Wolf
heh, abit too late now, mate...the model is almost done. Just have to fix some animation problems, try to get a custom sound and it'll be released, but I do plan on making a light side jedi skin for it...perhaps in Rev. 2.0 of the model... JRA_Wolf
*sigh* running into a buttload of problems here...got it into GLMView...kinda...first, the texture for the armor won't load..it says someting like "jpeg read error: requested feature was omitted at compile time" wtf? Second, during animations, all of the joints have a gap...sapcemonkey mentions this in his tutorial, but I can't figure out how to fix it, even with setting the Abs. value to .5 on the two bones.. And I think I will have to make some changes to the model itself...it looks like the lower legs are too short, and the knee in the skeleton isn't where the knee is on the model.. BLAH...
