Ive downloaded skins, now how to I install them?

I unzipped them into my C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\base directory, but when I start the game they dont show up in my list of skins...

 

Is there a special way I need to install skins?

If you're joining a multiplayer server, it's likely because it's a Pure Server, which means it doesn't allow skins other than those that are actually on the server itself.
