Nebelwerfer_
so let me get this straight... Do all of you guys know that those EU sith characters that Darth Fallen NYC was talking about are not going to be in the next movie. Not only does it contradict the movies by having more than 2 sith at once, but these are EU characters not created by GL. I don't think he has ever incorporated a EU character in any of his movies. I doubt the characters he's mentioned will be involved, but it's possible that there will be multiple Dark Jedi in the next one--the rule of two isn't something that has to be upheld. I kind of doubt it though, since they weren't at all mentioned in AotC...it would seem kind of random to just throw in a gaggle of Dark Jedi... Russk Rijann
does the two sith rule mean there can only ever be two sith, or does it mean only two can appear at once? (to like course mischief and all round nastynesss )
eben15
If Darth Bane, for whatever reason is to appear in ep3, who should play him? We would need an actor badass enough to play the guy that trains the emperor. Im thinking Christopher Walken. and it would probably be a flashback scene. any ideas? The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill , shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness , for he is truly his brother keeper , and the finder of lost children , and I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers! And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee!

MasterD-LeyAmas
1)Darth Bane has been dead for more than 900 years by the time of Ep1. 2)Maul will never be put back in the story, unless GL really wants to stretch, and make him float around like the dark jedi Maw did in Jedi Knight 1 (which I severely doubt). 3)It IS possible that Darth Sidious was Darth Bane's apprentice, however unlikely. If you know about the EU, Darth Sidious, even though the dark side does kill him slowly, has survived for many years (centuries?) by making clones of himself and using an ancient Sith black art to transfer himself from host to host. 4)The one EU character that I can think of that has appeared in the movies (only in the special edition OT) is Aurra Sing. She is shown in a brief clip on Tatooine in ANH. 5)Don't believe every little rumor you hear about the next Star Wars movie. This "spoiler" sounds like a load of BS someone made up just for the sake of starting a rumor. Just clearing things up.
MasterD-LeyAmas
But I do think that Darth Sidious had a different master... Oh, and to JR128: I don't say this often but, scr** off. If you don't like the chat, get outta the forum.

MasterD-LeyAmas
Thank you Zindell, I didn't know the name, I was just stating that it was technically possible for Bane to be Sidious's master (yet very unlikely).
Zindell
As it's been stated before it was truly impossible, He died 900 years before the phantom menace. I know the emperor looks old but he's not 900 years old.

MasterD-LeyAmas
Yeah, you're right Redwing. It's quarter after 4:00am here, and I was drunk earlier, I'm slipping. There was two EU characters put into the special edition OT. My bad.

But I disagree with you about Darth Bane making the 2 sith rule...last i heard it was Exar Kun...but another thing is that all the council will either be killed or banished(Plo Koon and some other guy should be killed in one seen...unless dman George Lucas cuts that out like he did most of the good scenes in EP.2)

Do you know how long Aayla secura was in AOTC??? about a fricken second and you have to look closely to see her, also, same with aura sing... 1 fricking second and they have no important roles in either movie. Do you know why lucas put them in the movies??? he's just throwing you EU diehards a bone so you dont get mad that he justfully contradicts EU in his movies. 1)Owen lars is NOT obiwans brother 2)boba fett is not jaster mereal, a journyman, he's boba fett! 3)bevel lemelisk did not design the deathstar, the geonoshans did All you guys talking about darth bane, darth impirius can go blather on and on about what you think but the proof speaks for itself that lucas doesn't give a rats behind about the EU. That's probly why Aura sing wasn't even in AOTC, lucas probly took her out late in the developmental stage of the movie so that EU dorks dont think that stupid EU characters like darth bane and darth blah blah blah will have an important role in the movies (the only real starwars canon.) the crap made up by no-name authors in the EU is different from the movies when it comes to origins of the main characters. And Newbelwerfer, you're right on all of those points (#1-3), but we do know that GL at least has a final say in what gets written in the EU books, as the authors have to license the characters through Lucasfilm. And starwars.com, the site run by Lucasfilm, contains most of the information on the EU, and works it into the story. We may never see it in the movies, but it does all get GL's "thumb's up". Kurgan
Hear me out... Darth Bane was mentioned in the TPM novelisation. The novelisations OF THE OFFICIAL FILMS are considered canon after said films and official screenplays. So, as long as nothing in the films contradicts these events and characters, they are canon. So Darth Bane is real, unless Episode 3 rules it out. I'd never heard of Aurra Sing until TPM, where she appeared briefly, I never saw her in Episode 2. I guess I'd need to watch the DVD frame by frame to be sure...
