Someone with Milkshape could make Droiddeka & Battle droid & super battle droid model

The difficulty as I understand it is in needing to compile player models from a root.xsi file to a *.gla file with Assimilate. Though there is a plug to import *.glm files into Milkshape3D, this only works easily for non-player models. Player models require "weighting" which Milkshape won't do, and have to be exported as *.xsi files - which currently can only be done with 3DMax. Then the xsi file is combined with a *.gla animation file, and saved as a *.glm with Assimilate.

I searched for a way to do player modeling without 3DMax, using either Milkshape or GMax. All I wanted to do was switch the head from one player to the body of another. It was an extremely difficult process, and I was never able to get the new player model compiled properly.

Hopefully someone with 3DMax will respond to this request. Or there are rumours that Raven is considering a GMax module for JK2 editing, which would simplify things immensely for those who can't spend $5k on 3DMax.

Maybe soon... I'd recommend anyone without 3DMax to hold off on attempting JK2 player models. It's a real pain at this point.

Sir, you can't just make a batle droid or a droiddeka

the droiddeka would not fit to the skeleton cause its not humanoid.

and the battle droid would walk really weird

at least you could not use them in multiplay but maybe in single play, but you could not play a bdroid /droiddeka yourself

But hey, who would listen to a stormtrooper like me
