eXactScienceLJK Posted June 3, 2002 Share Posted June 3, 2002 yes i'd have to agree ... imho it just wouldn't be right (or fair for that matter), unless they gave everyone who played jk2 on multiplayer a chance to go head to head with each other... what that would mean is having one serious series of matches set up in a ladder format which involves an equitable elimination process (say best 2 out of 3, etc).. finally culminating with an overall champion determined solely because of skill, and not because of luck or cheap killz.. i.e. (wins minus loses, sportsmanship, helpful, etc) for as you'll notice by reading their gameplay rules you are supposed to take out bots as fast as you can... i dont know about you but imho that does not imply any skill what so ever ... skill is going against a real person who represents the greatest potential for randomness... bots are not random no matter how great your scripted AI is.. my two cents anyways.... p.s. having to show up in one location unfairly eliminates a lot of good competition as well . . . i hope they are taking that into consideration. exact out Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
