Fman
I cannot compile my maps with jk2radiant because i dont have enough memory on my comp. It drives me crazy because id like to know how my map looks in game. Its a pretty simple duel map, very small. How can i compile it?
hack
Hey Fman, In order to determine how we can help you, we would need additional information. Such as your computer configuration (i.e. Ram; Hard drive size with free space; etc). If you can provide a picture of you level or a idea of the size of your level, this may also help. Fman
im pretty sure its my lack of ram, i have 128. my comp has a 1 gig processor and ive got 10 gigs of free space on it so im thinking it has to be the ram.
The Truthful Liar
I have 128 ram and it compiles my maps fine. I will be getting another 128 stick though, it does take slightly longer than usual with just 128 and its useful for gaming to get another of course
Badakku
128 mb ram definitely is enough for compiling your maps! What happens exactly when you try to compile the map?
Imran
If nothing works at all you can send your map to me and I'll compile it for you :-) Try using GTK radiant to compile
Fman
"There is not enough memory to start SOF2MAP.EXE. Quit some programs, and then try again." thats the exact error i get when i try to compile. i tried using gtkradiant but none of the textures come up in it
nickersonm
Try increasing your available virtual memory. What OS are you using? - nickersonm

nickersonm
Hmm, windows me isn't a very good OS. Try closing all programs (use ctrl-alt-del and make sure only systray and explorer are there), then starting up radiant and compiling.
