JJ45
Help, I can't join any multiplayer server cause it says I don't have a file called base_assets2.pk3. Is it some kind of a patch or something? If anyone can help me to fix this, or tell me where the hell i can get this patch, thanks.
teleguy
Assets2.pk3 is part of the 1.03 patch. http://www.jediknightii.net/files/index.php?link=file&id=
JJ45
It says Jedi Knight 2 is not installed on my computer, and I tried to reinstall it, but didn't help.
teleguy
Click on "Run" in your Windows startmenu and enter "regedit" (without the quotes). Be careful! The registry is a vital part of your system! Don't make any changes! Go to this directory : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectPlay\ Applications\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast and tell me what you see. JJ45
There's no JK2 folder in the applications directory!
*TÂ¥RANITH*
That's a pretty big problem, lol. Your computer doesn't think you have JKII installed. Just remove everything to do with JKII you can find, reinstall, and patch it with 1.

teleguy
I don't think this will work. Others tried it and got an error message (" Version is 6, expected 7" or sth like this) when they started a game.
teleguy
Sorry, made a mistake. Its HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\1.0 .
JJ45
There's only Shadows of Empire and Jedi Knight 1... No JK2. I tried to join a server, and it started downloading something, so i waited, and it downlaoded something, but then the game freezed and now when i try to start JK2 multiplayer it says user blah blah version 7 expected 6 and the screen turns white after that, trhen my computer freezes. teleguy
The "version 7 expected 6" error can be fixed by deleting assets2.pk3 in your base folder.
JJ45
I deleted it, but now it AGAIN tried to download the assets2.pk3 file!!!

JJ45
What if you uploaded ALL the update files and then I would downlaod it, like The Patch without the installer!
