DividedByZero
A half pipe. I tried taking a cylinder and subracting out of a brick, but instead of it making the desired half pipe shape in the brick, it made a square shaped cut! Is there a differn't way to do this? fabrikashon
Try messing around with curves > bevels.

RichDiesal
Read. http://fps.brainerd.net/patchmesh.htm Note that you should never use CSG Subtract. Ever. Never ever ever never ever. Do not build subtractively. (I think...that's..a word... ) Build additively. Put in each part of what you're building as an addition to the last towards the goal of having a complete object. Manquesa
Simple Just make a standard square/rectangular brush and the while it's still seleceted go to Curve>End Cap. This will create the disired half pipe curve that you need however it will be on it's side. To fix this, just go to Selection>Rotate>Rotate X. You should now have a half pipe, all you need to do now is resize it to you're desired dimensions. And for the final touches go to Curve>Cap>Inverted Endcap. That's it, cant' make it any easier than that.
