Imran Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 I downloaded an Env Map from Wadfather today, and it has the left, right, up, down etc. and I need to know how to make that into a sky shader...You guys have been a REALLY good help, and I hope a response to this can be included in the FAQ - for futore reference.
volrathxp Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 Look through the skies.shader code and edit it to suit your own needs... should give you an idea on how to do it.
Imran Posted June 10, 2002 Author Posted June 10, 2002 daaaaaaaamn volrath, your quick and your a HUGE help!
RichDiesal Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 Only edit the skies.shader if you want to edit it for your own personal use. If you want to put your custom map in your own map, you need to copy the sky code from the shader into your own custom .shader file.
Imran Posted June 10, 2002 Author Posted June 10, 2002 so if i named my map "booboo" I should create a booboo.shader? How would I go about doing that...
RichDiesal Posted June 10, 2002 Posted June 10, 2002 Yep.. make that file in your shaders/ directory and add the word "booboo" in the shaderlist.txt Restart Radiant, and you can use the shaders you have there.
