GoblinKing
I've made some new skins, with surfaces turned off (a bald jedi and a female jedi). They work fine in modview, and i've created an (apparently) correct .surf, but in game, all the surfaces are still there. I've spent hours on this and i'm tearing my hair out. Help Please? Lupo
do you have the mvs file? Try this if you don't, keep your surf file. Go to ModView open your skin click on the + sign in the area to the left where it says ==>model.glm<==. Do the same with Surfaces. Now say for instance you want to take someones collar off, find the torso_collar, right click then click Set status: OFF. Then save by going to file/write script and save the mvs file. Doesn't really matter what you save it as.
BradFu
You don't need the .mvs file for the surfaces to work in game. The .mvs is only used in Modview. GoblinKing: Post the contents of your .surf file (as well as the filename of it). BradFu!
Lupo
huh that's news to me. Thanks. But the mvs file does help in knowing what to write in the surf file.
GoblinKing
here they are, but i simply can't understand why they don't work as i copied them from the raven MPSURFS zip. model_default_tyrmala.surf surfOff "torso_vest hips_chaps torso_computer head_goggles torso_comp hips_belt" surfOn "torso_augment_off hips_augment_off hips_torso_off" model_default_necrath.surf surfOff "head head_face" surfOn "head_off head_face_off"
