NerfYoda
I forget what causes this error. My users get it at times & get disconnected from my server. I know it's been discussed here, but I forget where. What causes this?
NerfYoda
*bump* So I guess no one else remembers what this error means?
TheAphextwin
Taken from the Jedi Runner help file. Q. I keep getting dropped from my server when I connect with the error message "cl_ParsePacketEntities: end of message", what does that mean? A. It's your network card drivers or the card itself. Usually, a simple update of the drivers will take care of that error. It's your network card not communicating fast enough that creates the error and kicks all the players. -- [Dekard@gameadmins.com]

alienprotein
I see you found out what the issue was. Sorry I got lost on the mapping thread. Never got back to help out.
lianrood
I'm getting this same error. Hosting through a Linksys router. I've got the server on a DMZ (demilitarized zone), and even forwarding the ports recommended by Lucas Arts, but I still get this error when I play on my own server. I've tried network cards on both systems (from Intel to 3COM, to generic chipsets - all using latest drivers), disabled things in the background, bandwith seems fine...what gives. Anybody have an idea what the fix really is to this error? Its really bummin me out. Friend of mine gets it two when he connects. Sometimes its within the first minute or two of a session, sometimes it takes 10-20 minutes.
TheAphextwin
Make sure the server is using a different port than the one you are using.
NerfYoda
I went and replaced my 3C905 NIC wth a Linksys LNE100TX card & so far no more errors. The dc device may have been written nicer than the xl device in fBSD. That Linksys card only cost $5 at CompUSA as well. Thanks for the help, folks!
