Testing Frame Rate + video card problems

First of all I wanted to know the procedure for checking frame per second rates.. I know i saw it somewhere but I forget where..

 

and also, i just upgraded to a GeForce 3 Ti 200 from a TNT 2 and I see absolutely NO difference in performance on my system.. the system specs are:

 

733 MHz P3

256 MB PC 133 RAM

 

is the box just too old to utilize the technology??

Open the console ( shift + key left to 1 ) and enter cg_drawFPS 1 . This will display the framerate.

If you want to run the timedemo create a shortcut to jk2mp.exe

and add +set sv_cheats 1 +set timedemo 1 +demo jk2ffa to the path. ( Mine looks like this : "E:\Programme\LucasArts\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2mp.exe" +set sv_cheats 1 +set timedemo 1 +demo jk2ffa )

When the demo is finished, open the console and scroll up ( page up ) to view your result.
