Gideon
Hey again, I have a question that has been asked many times: How do you cut through walls? For instance, I want two towers connected by a simple bridge. The only thing is that I can't get an opening in a round thing making the only two exits above or below but never form the side. (the bridge is in the center of the towers) Any help would be appreciated because this is going to be (hopefully) a second ladder idea thoug hthis time I'm going to make the room bigger. I like it better that way.
Manquesa
you can't cut a hole in a patch mesh (cylinder). Here's what you're gonna have to do, make 2 cylinders and 2 end caps. Like this. ccccc ccccc ccccc ccccc eeee eeee eeee eeee ccccc ccccc ccccc ccccc where c is the cylinders and e is the end caps make 1 endcap first and make it into a half clyinder shape so it matches up with the cylinders and the drag the vertices back for you door opening. copy it and put the 2 together with your cylinders. I hope that makes sense.

Manquesa
Alright, let's do something from scratch for illustration purposes only since I don't know anything about the towers that you're making. [*]make a square brush, then go to curve>cylinder. This will be the bottom half of the tower below the doorway [*]deselect the previously made cylinder [*]make another square brush, then go to curve>end cap. [*]place this end cap on top of your cylinder, size it so that fits half the cylinder exactly and is the height of the wanted doorway. [*]While the end cap is still selected press "v" to drag vertices. [*]Now, select and drag the vertice where you want the doorway to be [*]drag the other vertices to maintain the shape of the cylinder. [*]Once that's done, press the space bar to copy the end cap, then go to selection>rotate>rotate z to turn it around a fit it next to the other end cap to complete the cylinder with a doorway look. [*]Then make another cylinder to complete the rest of the tower above the doorway. [/list=1] I hope that made more sense this time around, if not then maybe Richdiesal can explain it better.
