greydog
i was just wondering if it was possible for 2 computer to connect to the same game if they have the same ip. i bought 3 jk2 games: one for a server (24.27.65.96) and two for playing at a friends house. the friend is on a cable modem and two computers are connected with a linksys router. is there a way to play on the same server with the same ip? btw: i know it is possible with half life by changing the clientport, is this possible in jk2? thanks
MatrixCPA
Yes. The setting you are looking for is called qport. Just include a line in the second client config along the lines of: seta qport "27081" Depending on how the first client is setup, you may need to alter the value slightly. Technically, you can make it just about anything you want. Personally, I always try to keep them within the default ports used by the game. Call me crazy. jimn
These are the 2 commands i added to my one of my multiplayer cfg file and it works fine with 2 machines. seta net_port "28071" seta port "28071" From your pevious post you obviously know how to make sure the ports point to the right pc.
