Anakin No Fly?

In EVERY Satr Wars, there have been new speeders and mainly SPACE SHIPS or FLYERS.

In SW2, Anakin does no space battles, space battles being on of the major things that made SW famous.

So R2D2 was out of a job for a while, and didn't do too much, well R2D2 save the princess.

Is George going to create the BIGGEST space battle for SW3?

The focus in Episode 2 was on the relationship between Anakin and Padme. There were no real space battles because they just were not an integral part of the story. You had the major battle on Geonosis. Remember, George Lucas is not relegated to a formula for his films.:D

i think ep3 will have the biggest battle evar becaus in 4,5,6 the lightsaber battles never had more than 2 ppl fighting but in 2 they had lotsa ppl wid sabers so possibly 3 gonna have biggest battle with anakin gettin hurt andd becomin vader and all the jedi gettin killed and all the droid army gettin blasted and only the imperials left and the rebles gotta stop them

I think the speeder chase through Coruscant compensaded for not having a major space battle in ep. 2 Also remember that the "Obi-wan vs Jango space fight"? It was a small space fight, but great non the less.

Anyhow maybe Lucas will give us a major space fight in ep3.

I know one thing though , there will be alot of saber duels/fights.

Yeah R2 didn't need a spaceship to fly this time. He did it himself. He still saved the day as usual though.

The speeder chase was a good enough space battle in my oppinion. Not as great as previous ones. With the sounds of blaster fire and Tons of spaceships flying by. But I think i'll live.

I don't think there be lots of sber fighting, as the Strom troopers all have VERY BIG GUNS.

Maybe in SW3 they might even use grenades, I do not recall any grenades being used in Star Wars.

I wasnt talking about Jedi's fighting storm/clone troopers.

In ep.3 we will see almost every Jedi wiped out. Alot of them will be killed by vader and probably Dooku.

When this happens there will be in fact saber battles. One of them is even almost written in stone. The Obi-wan vs. Anakin duel that Lucas promises will be one of the best saber duels ever.

During the Arena Battle in SW2, alot of the Jedis did die, and not by other another Jedi's hand, and they were the best.

If the clone army made it late, even Mace Windu would have lost, as those droids with that shield just reflect the phaser shots that the Jedis reflect.

I know that you are not saying Jedis are invincible, but very hard to kill, still the battle proved that alot will die by the normal army hands.

Episode 3 is definately going to be the Big One. Take ROTJ. It was the last of the original trilogy, and man, the effects and chaos of the battles were extremely well done for their time. Just imagine what it's going to be like if they get an awesome space battle going in EPIII!

I also hope some re-iteration of a new Final Duel score is produced (that made the fight between Luke and Vader!). Not the same song, but perhaps a form of tribute. As moving as the original, but with an air of freshness to it.

Also, it might be cameo central, in terms of returning characters. There are rumors about chewie and han (i kinda doubt those) but others of Boba Fett (if it's another 10 years later, he'd be like 19, 20 or 21). In all, EPIII's shaping up to be quite an interesting movie.

Ummmm, the droids armor didn't reflect the blaster shots.....otherwise none of them would have died. The droids had rapid firing guns which they kept on shooting, and so many laser shots are bound to eventually get through a jedis defence. And Zindell is partially correct, they won't have to fight alone in the war, they'll have the clones, but they will probably still fight (Obi wan fought under Bail organa during the clone wars, and he was a general, according to ANH)..but with clones as backup the jedi will be less likely to die.

Ah, but there WERE Destroyer Droids there, though I don't know if they were the heavy ones with shielding. I just think it's funny (or perhaps just sad) that they other poster refered to the blaster shots as "phaser" shots.

Now I know this is a Star Wars forum, and all people are SW Fans here.

Which movies were better in space battles, the SW1-2, SW4-6, or the STAR TREK Captain Kirk Movies, specially the Klingon space battles.

These are three choices, which one of these will get first place, seconf place or third place.

The Star Wars battles definately beat the **** outta the Star Trek ones. I mean, in Star Trek, all the ships move so slow! Star Wars is about dogfighting! I mean nothing in Star Trek comes close to the coolness of when the X-wing is close to an exploding shield generator, or when the damaged A-wing destroys the bridge of the Executor! NOW THAT'S A SPACE BATTLE!

The only thing star trek has to offer is a shaking bridge shot, along with tediously slow moving ships charging their 'phasers' and 'photon torpedoes' and endless percentage counts of the shields.

Star Wars Forever!
