Whatever problems 1.03 has we're stuck with them now, unless the community as a whole adopts mods that fix the percieved problems.
tempest8008
Apologies if any of this has been posted already... Originally posted by leelink have you enemy directly in front of you about 6 steps or less away, then throw your saber and pull just as your saber gets about 2 steps away from them. this will cause the saber to hit them. now get ready to kick right away after you pull them toward you. then once you kick them that will send them flying on thier back. run to them and then do the light lunge very quickly and saber throw immediately after that. You're assuming a lot, leelink... 1) That your target is stationary. 2) That your target won't back off when you do the saber throw. 3) That your Pull WILL Pull the opponent closer (if my pool is high enough and I'm facing you, I'll block your Pull. Your throw WILL hit, ArtiFeX pointed this out a long time ago, but your Pull won't necessarily pull me closer) 4) That your kick will knock your target down. If my health and Force is high enough, it will knock me back, but not down. Also, you mentioned you'd kick someone who rolled towards you. I assume you meant you'd wait to kick them after they stood up, because you can't kick someone who is crouched or rolling. Which leads me to another defence....I'd crouch when you tried the saber throw and Pull, I'd still get tagged with the throw, but even if you tried running in for a kick it wouldn't land because I was crouched. Then I'd pull YOU and backstab...or do the light lunge just as you land. This would work very well against a n00b or someone who didn't have a good setup with the various Force powers and weapons ready at hand. Personally, if I knew you were going to be trying that combo consistently I'd keep moving, keep my distance, and if I were to close with you I'd turn on absorb, whip out a gun with a good secondary fire, and let you throw your saber at me all you want. As a matter of fact, with you throwing your saber and pulling, I'd probably use Thermal Detonators, and you'd end up pulling the bouncing beauties right into your face... I know you never said there weren't defences against your combo, and it's a good set of moves. But IMHO, it would only ever work consistenly against a more inexperienced player. tempest8008
You can't kick someone who is crouched. Granted, I'm not 100% sure about rolling, but I know you can't kick someone who is crouched. You might do the flip, and stop them from moving forward, but you won't damage them at all.

You can totally side kick someone who is crouched, and I've been front-kicked while crouched also. slacker
