JKII on Voodoo 3 running XP

Does anyone know how to get Jedi Outcast to work on a Voodoo 3 2000 video card while running Windows XP Pro. I had JKII working while I was running Windows 98 SE but after I upgraded it stopped working and i noticed that in JKII readme file it said that the XP drivers for the Voodoo 3 do not support OpenGL. If anyone knows were some Voodoo 3 drivers are that support JKII while running XP I would be very grateful if you could post a link to them.

My system specs:

AMD k-62 533 mhz's

384 mb PC-100 SD RAM

48x CD-ROM

20 gig hard drive

Onboard Sound

Windows XP Pro

I finally got JKII to work on my system using the V3_4_5Win2kXP1.08-xp driver I found at voodoofiles.com however I still had some problems so I installed Wicked GL and that seemed to fix most of them.

However I still have a few problems and I was wondering whether anyone knew how to fix them:

œ The gamma is pretty low and I can't seem to raise it all

œ The text is blurry, especially on the opening movie right before the first misson where you see the standard star wars text that scrolls by.

If anyone knows how to fix these problems please reply.

Also,

Is there any way to get rid of the Wicked GL window that appears when I try to start the game.

I think that's because you use the demo version. To get rid of it you have to download the registered version http://store.yahoo.com/wicked3d/wicgifcer.html

Move opengl32.dll (thats the wickedgl driver) into a different folder and try GLSetup http://www.voodoofiles.com/927.

Hey, i see you got your gamma fixed with the instructions in the link... do you remember exactly what you did? The thread with the instructions was posted for me but I couldn't get it working after trying that either :(

First I changed the "r_ignorehwgamma" setting from 0 to 1 and then I changed the "r_gamma" setting to 1.3, and finaly I changed the "r_ext_gamma_control" setting to 1 and that fixed my problem. I am using the WickedGL driver in combination with the V3_4_5Win2kXP1.08-xp driver on a Voodoo 3 card running Windows XP but I don't know if that makes a difference.

Hope this helps.
