Falcon IceHole Posted June 21, 2002 Share Posted June 21, 2002 I have a bunch of questions about things I have run into recently. Hope I remember them all. I am only a casual Q3 player. I played STEF quite a bit, and a little team arena and some mods, but mostly I am a T2 and CS player. So most of these questions are quite newbie. What is the screenshot key? I have noticed some incredible screenshots, taken in mid battle at seemingly impossible times, how can anyone do that?? CFG file, top of the file says it is created by JK2, and do not edit. WTF? I can't edit my cfg file? Do I need autoexec files? If so, how do I set it up? Favorites filter. In game, I can add to favorites, but for the life of me, I see no way to filter so that only favorites show up. I use the All Seeing Eye (Q3 server menu sux). But, once in game, when I leave a server, I would rather join another in game than quit and go back to ASE. How can I filter to favorites only? How do I add color to my name? I am soooo uber player, I must have uber looking name! Actually, I am quite the llama, but I still want an uber looking name. Finally, I would like to run a dedicated server from win98. Can someone give me a like to a resourse of information on how to set up a dedicated server, cfg files, admin commands, all that jazz. Oh, one more thing... the email notification does not seem to work for these forums. They work for me in other forums that I use, so I know it isn't my addy. Can anyone confirm that notification is broken or not? It says I am registered... but it doesn't notify me of replys. Thanks in advance for any responses. Open console with shift + key left to 1 and enter bind x screenshots ( you can use any other key instead of x ). CFG file, top of the file says it is created by JK2, and do not edit. WTF? Also some commands you put into the cfg files won't stay there. In this case you have to create an autoexec file. To do this just create a textfile in your base folder and rename it to autoexec.cfg . Type ^# before your name. # = 1 => red 2 = green 3 = yellow 4 = blue 5 = aqua 6 = purple 7 = white Oh, one more thing... the email notification does not seem to work for these forums.
