Mr. Gaber, Please Read RE: Confed. AI

Mr. Gaber,

 

i've noticed that the Confed. AI doesn't build the controllable predators, Nexu, Reek and Acklay.

 

i've started constructing an AI script in a effort to get the comp. AI to build them, but the nexu, reek and acklay aren't designated as units anywhere i can find in gamedata_x1.drs.

 

i find animal-nexu, animal-reek, and animal-acklay, but i think that's for random gaia animals, because the confed still won't build them.

 

is there anyway to get the AI to recognize that they can build this unit or am i out of luck?

 

is there anyway to define a new unit the game can recognize (ie. UNIT-NEXU)?

 

or, will a patch be put out that fixes this problem and defines the controllable preds as units?

 

this problem seriously limits the use of the controllable preds as viable war units for the computer, especially in custom scenarios where people like me want to use them, without using 50+ Triggers and Create Object Effects, which is too time-consuming.

 

please help.
