ok, ive been playing for a week now, and im ok, jsut ok. I should be better because I'm an asian fencing instructor, so I figured it out when I dled the Mortal Kombat music, I need good fighitng music. Problem is, Mortal Kombat doesn't play when I duel, whats up wit dat? and how do I import MP3s that RAENT in pk3 form into the game? thanx

That depends if you want to add music or if you want to replace music.

 

Adding music: Create a folder in your root directory (C:\) ( I'm not sure if this folder is really necesarry) and name it "music" . Put in your mp3 file e.g. Mortal_Combat.mp3, rightclick on it and select "add to zip" . Create the archive in .........\Gamedata\base and name it mkmusic.pk3 (the name is not so important, but you shouldn't use names beginning with "a") . Make sure "Save Extra Folder Info" is ticked. In a multiplayer game activate the console ( shift + key left to 1 ) and enter music music\Mortal_Combat (music is the command, music\ the path and Mortal_Combat the filename ) to load your music. I think that only works in multiplayer.

 

Replacing music: Lets say you want to replace the duel music. Open the assets0.pk3 file with Winzip or Winrar and locate duel.mp3 (path is music\mp\) . Extract the file to C:\ . (That's only to get the directory structure, you can do it manually of course.) "Use Folder Names" has to be ticked. Close Winzip. Rename the file you want to replace the duel music with to duel.mp3 and put it into the music\mp folder. Then zip the file, rename it to pk3 and put it into the base folder. Note: Don't add the music file to the assets files, that will result in an error message ( "Invalid Game Folder"). You have to create a seperate pk3 file.
