Darth Groovy Posted July 1, 2002 Posted July 1, 2002 Quote Originally posted by Calexus An arrow is more dangerous than you think, a bullet spins, an arrow doesn't (or rather it does but not at even a quater of the rate of a bullet), did you know an arrow can pierce kevlar with ease? you know why? becuz an arrow has a sharp tip marking it penertrate a VERY small part of surface area while a bullet does surface damage which spreads out on impact. @Nigel_pk, tell you what, put a bucket over your head and get one of your friends to throw a stone at the bucket and you will know how that stormtrooper felt. Ahhh!!!!!!!!! he's got a board with a nail in it!!!!!!!!!
Darth Talliusc Posted July 2, 2002 Posted July 2, 2002 nice "proof" except a few slight errors, one that is actually E V I D E N C E! not to be mean but all you have there is one little instance, if you would be so kind as to go back and count up all the arrow shots that hit and bounce off the armor you would notice that the armor DOES help!
Kyth'emos Posted July 2, 2002 Author Posted July 2, 2002 Quote I've read other speculation that the Trooper armor is more like a bullet proof vest... a specialized device designed to protect the user from a specific type of attack, but not one that will prevent you from dying in all cases or even allow you to keep fighting. OK, so it bullet proof armor that can't block arrows or blaters... but we never actually see a storm trooper get shot with a projectile gun so we have no proof it is effective against bullets either.
