Is it Raven Software or LEC? I'm sure that the whole community would be interested seeing it to be released as it would be a helluva boom to the mod makers (especially to the Dark Forces TC). jipe Posted June 27, 2002 Share Posted June 27, 2002 1) No. 2) The singleplayer source code is in the .exe, along with the quake 3 engine code (which is property of id Software, and can't be released) and Raven's own engine enhancements. The reason the multiplayer code can be released is that it's in DLLs, the same thing that John Carmack used for quake 3 mods. If you recall, quake 3 did not have singleplayer, so everything Raven is doing for SP is from scratch. 3) It's not even a decision, really - it's not possible.. I would love to see it to, but we need to accept that there's no "evil corporation" out to get us, it's just the way the code was written..
