I have downloaded the program Milkshape 3D, worked with it a little and need some answers:

 

Is Milkshape the best for begging modelers, and will it work with Jedi Knight II?

 

Can someone recommend some tutorials for Milshape, because the once on the site aren't that helpful.

 

Can someone give me some pics to help me with my modeling, like a front and side view of a Star Wars character?

 

And if anyone has any words of wisdom, please share.

I don't really know milkshape but I think that gmax is more powerful and u will find more tutorials for it.

Modeling characters isn't something that most people just jump into and pick up right away. It has taken me over a year of learning 3D Studio Max before I began making my first character model. Have patience and do the exercises that you can find so you can learn your way around the program. With patience and hard work you should be able to develop the skills you're looking for.

Thanks for the feedback, I realize now it's not as easy as it seems. I switched to Gmax because it seems easier, and I'm going through the tutorials you find on the site now.

good choice to use gmax...

when ur done with the basic tutorials from discreet, you might want to check this out, its written specifically for modelling for JKII in gmax
