Curve Problems in JK2Radient.

First of all, Im using a win2000 laptop from dell with an 1gig cpu and a ton of memory. Its my professional programmign machine so its beefy.

I have a problem with curves. I want to develop a long hallway with a curving ceiling. So I make a big brush inside the hallway and then render an inverted end cap. POW ... JK2radient crashes.

So i try to render an inverted bevel after clipping the brush in half with shift click and this seems to be working except it creates the bevel down the Length of the hallway instead of overhead. Not good. No matter how I create the brush, no matter what view I create it in, it always does that. Are the curves always done relative to the x axis of the map ?

So I rotate the curve and resize its bounding box to be correct and now I dont have a curve anymore but distinct planes that I can see that have edges and make up the curve.

All to get a nice beatuifully sloping sewer hallway. grrrrr ...

Ive gone through all of RDs tutorial (5 thumbs up man) and yet i cant seem to get hte damn thing working.

Suggestions?

Additionally, while Ive got you on the line, I am habing problems with the textures stretching out on my patches so that when I make the walls and curved arch the same texture, the ceiling is obviously stretched. I want it to blend smoothly with the wall like it does in RDs tutorial.

Suggestions ?

TIA.
