xraycat Posted June 30, 2002 Share Posted June 30, 2002 I am trying to host a server behind a router and no one can join. I gave them the IP I got at http://www.whatsmyip.net/ but they can't join. IMNORFIN Posted June 30, 2002 Share Posted June 30, 2002 Connect to your router's IP (ex. 192.168.1.1) that's my router's IP, and for me i gotta click on advanced, then dmz host, and put the IP i get from the router in and that'll let you host and join irc channels and such and such. IMNORFIN Posted June 30, 2002 Share Posted June 30, 2002 Your router's factory IP should be stated somewhere in the manual that it came with look in the index for IP or something and when you find it open up internet explorer and type that number in the address bar now if yours does what mine does then a username and password thingy pops up and your manual again should tell you what to do so after you connect to your router look for something like DMZ host or similar or hell while you're in your manual look in the index for something about hosting. To get your default gateway in windows 2000/XP type "ipconfig /all" in a DOS box or "winipcfg" in a DOS box for win9x/ME. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
