How do i tag?

ok ill try to be as simple as possible

 

1. make a plane

2. make the plane into one polygon, which is just a triangle

3. make the triangle into a right triangle (has a 90 degree angle in it)

4. make one side twice the length of the other side, do not change the hypoteneuse. so for example if one side is 2 units, the other will be 1.

5. name it tag_flash

6. rotate the tag so the LONG side is vertical

7. place the tag where you want the beam to emit from.

You can do it easy by just making a box, flattening it out, then delete one vertex and weld them all together. then you have your triangle.

 

Alternatively, you can import an existing lightsaber model and just edit the tags to read tag_parent and tag_flash, then delete the rest of the model and start from scratch.

how do i delete a vertex? and how do i weld?
