solo_anakin Posted July 3, 2002 Posted July 3, 2002 I wonder what type of stat system this game is gonna have. I'm hoping they come up with something different and more Star Warish for this game. What is everybody else expecting/hoping for?
Com Raven Posted July 3, 2002 Posted July 3, 2002 I hoped, and now I know, that it will use the same rules as the Star Wars rpg by Wizards of the Coast...

Com Raven Posted July 3, 2002 Posted July 3, 2002 well, school will be out for summer soon... I planned for my vacancies to write something about the basics of the system for those who are new to it...
Carnival Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 good...i read their source books and they're pretty detailed...the cool stuff you can get...
solo_anakin Posted July 4, 2002 Author Posted July 4, 2002 Sounds good, I don't have the WotC SWRP books, so can someone tell me more about the systen, thanks.
Com Raven Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 you ever played D&D, or Neverwinter Nights or Pool of Radiance II ?
Com Raven Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 I think the basic gameplay should play out similar to NWN... but of course you have more than one guy in this, plus it should be more like a movie...
solo_anakin Posted July 4, 2002 Author Posted July 4, 2002 Yeah, I know how D&D type stats work, but I want to know more about the specifics of the Star Wars version.
Carnival Posted July 5, 2002 Posted July 5, 2002 well its almost a carbon copy of the d20 rules...you have classes such a rogues, bounty hunters, warriors, jedi ( mix of wizard and warrior ) etc...the old rules arent really detailed when compared to other WotC rule books but i suspect thats more to do with lucasarts than anything else...however the latest rules based on the new books is kinda cool...plus the promise of a "force user" class...which means you can play as a force user rather than a jedi - so you can get skills in other things like bounty hunting and stuff yet stil be able to jedi like powers albiet to a lesser extent and potency ( like the character aurra sing )...i hope bioware implement that as can u imagine the fun you'd have?
JediMasters Posted September 13, 2002 Posted September 13, 2002 Go to an electronic store in wallmart. They usually have it and if not go to a more serious gaming store.
