shadoseer
I think it boils down to volume of fire, accuracy of fire and courage odf the person firing

JrKASperov
Imagine this: It's a very well-trained blaster wielding guy against a saber-wielding Padawan. The guy would shoot his blaster at the Jedi, BUT he would deflect one of the first shots back at the shooter so he gets it early on before it gets to hot for the Jedi... Another story is numbers, with enough blasterdudes, you COULD kill a saberwielder of course. Or use a rocket launcher on him, that usually does the trick. Darth Knight
they would just push the rocket or gernade back at them then the other person would die that is why you never see that
Pedantic
Well, I'm sure you all recall Jango, who was quite skilled with the guns. Now his head isn't quite attached to his body. So tragic. Methinks that if a blaster-user can maintain distance between a saber user and himself, he has the advantage or at least the fight is a draw (like on Kamino). To maintain distance reliably, one would need to do as Jango did and have a jetpack or something to make him go faster than the Jedi or in an upward direction away from the Jedi. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on where you're coming from ), when Jango's technology failed, that is when the Jedi had the advantage, and Jango lost his head (or his head lost it's body, depending on your point-of-view.
