Republic Gunships

What the heck man, in the movie the gunships could hold about 8 troops, and the gunship and assault mech have guns in the back but they don't shoot, there should be a patch for this, also one little nit picking, the clone troopers rifles shoot blue lasers.

I'm afraid that SWGB is full of liberties that have been taken with the movie material to produce a fun and balanced game. In fact, these forums are half-filled with endless debates about which units should be changed to make them more movielike, the Gunship being the foremost bone of contention.

 

Bottom line: these things are unlikely to be changed, you might have to just deal with it. Be glad that the Gungans get boomers not blasters. Small mercies and all that.

Maul - read through one of the other 2 threads on this topic. If you have a use for the unit in the game then post it, who knows you might be able to do what darth windu couldn't. But just saying "I want it like it was in the movie" will not get LucasArts to even consider changing it and suggests that you don't really care about the game and you just want it to be exactly as the movies.

darthmaul - The Republic Gunship would be great as a unique unit, and would give the Republic an effective assault transport ability. Also, ignore simwiz, he likes to make up things that he will then use a 'quote' from you, besides he's opposed to the terrefic gunship idea.

hmmm... this reminds me of something - your frantic attempts to prove yourself. In the other gunship thread, when you started to get called stupid, you immediately start copying and pasting stuff from websites about vehicles to prove yourself intelligent. The fact that you believed the insults then proves they were at least partly true. Now, here, you attempt to paint youself as the mature one dragged into an argument by me, the baby that needs to calm down. Hmmm, I think any other member with eyes and a monitor can see that YOU started this, with your rather unpleasant personal attack post. (The fourth one here if you can't see it yet windu.) I would prefer you kept our quarelling to the few threads it has already destroyed, rather than bringing down more threads into just short of a flame war. Your "calm down simwiz" is rather laughable because, anyone reading this thread will think the opposite: you need to calm down and take a little nap and hopefully wake up on the right side of the bed so you don't get so cranky. Responding to a suggestion to another member with a personal attack and then pretending to be the mature one would only pull the wool over the eyes of members that are incedibly stupid. So I can see why you, assuming most people to have your level of intelligence, would believe your attempt would work.

 

And btw, my previous post was sarcastic, not enraged for trerrified, though I suppose that went right over your head. Should I start using smileys after every sentence for your simple mind to better comprehend? And I was hoping that you might have advanced a bit after reading about all those army vehicles from the websites. Unfortunately I was wrong.
