The prize was Softimage xsi, guess who gets to play with it? I don't know what softimage you are talking about, but softimage xsi advanded 3.7 was almost 14.000$ The basic version was around 8000$ I think they are at version 4 now. Twisted Vertex Posted July 5, 2002 Author Share Posted July 5, 2002 xsi is 13,000 without the addons. DO THE MATH....Oh and softimage has a TEN times better rendering engine then MAX. There is an importer for softimage from milkshape. A lot of the major movies companies use softimage xsi. Goto Softimage.com (might learn something) and you'll see that softimage was used in Star Wars, for the yoda scence especially.
