Smart_Saber Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 After doing a whole load of work on a map, JK2Radiant had an error and crashed. And I know that every once and a while JK2Radiant saves the file automatically. In base/maps I see "ctf_hoth.map" (my map) and "ctf_hoth.bak" which is what I'm guessing is the back-up file. But, how do I open the back-up file? Please help, I don't want to do that all over again. Thanks, Smart_saber
Smart_Saber Posted July 9, 2002 Author Posted July 9, 2002 Please help! I really really need to know!
Kengo Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 I know this isn't quite the same thing as you are asking about (on which I have no idea), but someone once suggested using the autosave_sp.map which should be in the maps folder, it should have saved the last version of the map before it crashed, won't neccisarily work but worth a go.
Atolm Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 Just rename ctf_hoth.bak to ctf_hoth.map and load it with Radiant.
Smart_Saber Posted July 9, 2002 Author Posted July 9, 2002 My God! It worked! Thank you thank you thank you!
