Anyone know how to model hair like this:

Umm.. I have a litttle problem. I'm building the Chiana model from

Farscape for HapSlash's skinpack but I don't know how to make

her hair. If you don't know who Chiana is and don't watch

Farscape (which you should watch. it's on scifi fridays), here's

a picture of who I'm talking about. I am at a somewhat weird loss

to understand how to make the hair. I'm wondering if in theory

you could build it the same way the wookie hair was made. But

I don't understand how to build that either. Just look at this pic

and tell me if you have any ideas how to build it. Thanks.

Hey Silent Mobius. That sounds like a great idea. I kind of understand what you mean. But could you explain in some more

detail what you mean? I'm not entirely experienced in modeling

yet.

If I remember correctly (which half the time I don't), the wookies

hair was made also using some sort of plugin or something. Or am

I just not remembering right? You wouldn't happen to know

where a tutorial that covers this kind of thing specificly is do

you?

I wish I could help you on this, but I don't know how to do it either.

This is definitely a great technique that should be shared and explained by those that are in the know.

Try asking Major Clod, the maker of the wookiee model, as he is certainly capable of using the alpha hair technique.

I'm sure there is someone, or some tutorial out there that will present itself to you and the rest of us.

Until then... we'll just keep this thread floating up here.

;)
