C'mon, were talking about characters that span all of the movies (and the only ones that would have spanned all 9 if Lucas had made them), had opening dialogue in two (ANH and RotJ) and the last word in one (Rotj). Seems to me that R2 in particular was quite central to A New Hope. Minor? Please... I wouldn't consider Jar Jar minor either for that matter. His role was a bit limited in AotC (though he was a pivotal character to the plot) and he definitely had a major role in TPM. People I'd consider cool minor characters might be Lobot, Logray, Sebulba, Aayla Secura, Plo koon, and others. If you're going up a bit (people with more dialogue and bigger parts) I'd toss in people like Ackbar and Wedge Antilles (he kicks butt). I love these forums. My family all think that i'm nuts because i know so much about star wars, and am so obsessed with it and such, but here i have many others who feel the same about it, and it's comforting. Well I guess I'm lucky. It's my fiancee who actually got me really into the Star Wars EU and games. She's a big Star Wars fan as well. I was more into general sci-fi and hadn't focused too much on SW but she really got me into SW again. Showed me there was so much to discover in the SW universe that I hadn't seen before. I think I could get her to dress up like Aayla or in the slave bikini ... but I'd find myself to be dressed up as a certain scruffy looking smuggler.
