Bogus Posted July 13, 2002 Posted July 13, 2002 I want to use a map in JO that was made for rtcw. when i load it, it says "map is wrong version (47 should be 1) and i dont know how to edit bsp's so i cant convert it. is it possible to: A) convert the map to JO? or B) fix the version problem? there are too many threads to check if this has been asked
idontlikegeorge Posted July 13, 2002 Posted July 13, 2002 i dont think you can or one thing, entity definitions in each map will be WAY off; and i dont think there is a .bsp converter; and decompiling .bsp to .map is a bad thing to do and may not work right either.
JediPunk Posted July 14, 2002 Posted July 14, 2002 You can try cloning brushes and stuff to recreate the map for JK2 and then re-make the entities with JK2's entities. You're probably getting that error because there's entities that are for RTCW that aren't in JK2, plus the map version is wrong... I might be wrong, but try it!
