Ansible
Thanks Taco . I have a question, my saber so far has about 640 polys. And when I used optimize it dropped down to 578. Are these numbers too high? What’s the limit for a hilt?
-Chrono_MOT-
1000 vertices, and as a general rule of thumb never exceed 1200 polys. The detail is ALL in the skin.

Ansible
I'm having a little trouble UV Mapping my saber, I don't really know what to do next. Here is what I've done so far: First a created a right-angle triangle, and named it tag_flash and placed it here: http://www.geocities.com/jk2_models/saeseehilt05.txt Then I applied a UVW Map, and rotated it and resized it (as told in the tutorial by FBF: http://www.geocities.com/jk2_models/saeseehilt06.txt Next I applied a Unwrap UVW Map and I clicked edit and I got this: http://www.geocities.com/jk2_models/saeseehilt07.txt Oh and here is what my modifiers window: http://www.geocities.com/jk2_models/saeseehilt08.txt What am I supposed to do next? Can someone explain or can someone kindly direct me to a tutorial for UV mapping and/or Skinning.
