Dak_iSuk Posted July 17, 2002 Share Posted July 17, 2002 I do it fairly easily. No real tricks though. I have two Bat files to start each server with their individual server.cfg files and net_ports. I use only one installation of the game, each server writes to seprate games.log files (although I suspect I could have them both write to the same one). For each server I run instances of aphextwins Server Messenger v2.1 mainly for IP logging but ht erules broadcast is nice too. The pertinant machine specs are... CPU: athalon 1.2 Ghz RAM: 256Mb DDR Connection: plain ol' cable modem My two servers are... !Daks 1.04 Ghoul2 Duel! 6 public slits 4 private (nearly always full) !Daks 1.04 Ghoul2 FFA! 10 Public Slots (when its on stays around 80% ) The ffa is not online all the time but the Deul server is alost always on. I have seldom problems with crashes but they do happen, most obviously from the lack of sufficient RAM. The Connection actually does very well for what it is. Sure there is lag, but hey I like it and most players dont complain. Upon reading the subject again I dont think i qualify... but I do use windows 2000...
