Tie Guy
Light will win, it has to. But i think that anyone who says that light always wins in the movies should wait till Ep III. Maul only defeated Qui-Gon because of his abilities with a saber. Assuming they were equally skilled, the one with the double blade would win. Remember, Obi-Wan actually lost to Maul, but then Maul's confidence destroyed him. Maul doesn't even use the dark side in his fight with Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan. He doesn't choke either of them or zap them with lightning. It all is a question of skill. The better saberist will win, since light cannot attack with the force but they can absorb/deflect any dark side attack. I think that most battles are not a decided with the force at all. I guess the "stronger" people in the force can see further into the future and react quicker or something, but that has nothing to do with light or dark. Discipline and training are the other things. Both light and dark are "disciplined" about the same, just in different aspects of the force. So again, that has nothing to do with light or dark. The one thing that tips the scales IMO is that the destructive power of the dark side eventually leads to their own destruction.
JediNyt
Yoda could beat the crap out of any Dark Jedi or Sith. I think that the only reason he hid on Dagobah was that, while he knew he could destroy Palpatine, he couldn't fight against the might of the Empire to get to him. "A keeper of the peace, I am; a soldier am I not!" I think that the Jedi in the old republic got too ####ing uptight. They got sooo wrapped up in their beliefs against war and believed it was so wrong to become soldiers that it contributed to their downfall. They got caught off guard a bit. One must become a soldier and fight a war when nessesary, ESPECIALLY when your a Jedi! Hell they make the best soldiers in the galaxy. DUH!! But Yoda was right in hiding on Dagoba after the Jedi were all but wiped out. Theres no way that ONE could stand up to the entire empire. No single Jedi can fight a whole army and survive, not even Yoda. He waited on Dagoba to keep the Jedi line alive and waited for Luke or Leia when they were ready. I just wanna know from George himself if one can have the Dark side of the Force and still be a good guy. But I'll probably never get that answer. I'll have to assume that its NO.
