ronsonol
If I make a change to my server.cfg file I want to be able to restart the server and have it read that file and thereby adding the chnages to the game. What I have to do now is quit and reload all together. So is there anyway to just have it exec the server.cfg without dropping all the players? -ronsonol
DaNameLessOne
Sure there is. Just change or reload the map. I do it occasionally myself. It also helps it you upload new skins to the server and want them loaded without restarting the server. map <mapname> and the server.cfg file gets reloaded and the /base folder gets parsed again. ronsonol
Ok. I thought I tried that before. Maybe I just missed the change. Thanks.
JediRoach
Are you sure about that? I've never had changes made when maps change. I've always had to either restart the server, or exec foobar.cfg for changes to happen. Roach
NerfYoda
Same here.. In my case I was able to have a password change take effect with map_restart, but I couldnt load new skins with it. *shrug*
