Owen
Whenever I try using my Mouse Buttons 4 and 5 (side buttons) on my Intellimouse Optical some other action happens in addition to the one I have it set for. I have button 4 set to use force powers and when I press it, it uses the force power and turns on the binoculars at the same time. Same thing with button 5, it is set for use and when I hit it, it does use and attack together. Any help would be appreciated.

Bwana Dik
I got ya. You want to unbind ALT. That I know for sure. Find out the action that is being performed on both keys (m4 and m5) and then look those up in the controls, and simply reassign those keys. That will work. Bwana Dik
What do you mean, nope? try this, it worked for me from a previous post. I went into console and typed /unbind < /unbind > /unbind alt That should do it
Sith Maximus
The best way would be to start over from scratch. Just delete your jk2mpcfg.cfg file and then restart the gmp game. Put all of your data in fresh and you should be ok. Or you could go into the console and type "/unbindall". This will unbind all of the keys on your keyboard and let you start over. Silent Bob
This is what i got from Lucasarts and it WORKS!!! DO IT! This is a known issue with the updated versions (1.03 and 1.04) of Jedi Outcast. However, we do have a work-around solution for this issue. Make sure you have the latest Microsoft Intellipoint Mouse Software (4.0) installed from http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouse/download.asp. After installing the updated mouse software, double-click the mouse icon in the system tray next to your clock on the Windows Start menu bar. The issue is caused by using the Default assignments for your mouse buttons in the Microsoft Intellipoint Mouse Properties menu. You will need to reassign the 4th and 5th mouse buttons to correct this issue in the game. On the Buttons tab, assign the "Large Thumb Button" (4th button) to "F1 (Help)" and the "Small Thumb Button" (5th button) to "F5 (Refresh)" and then click OK. Now start the game and reassign the functions in the game's Controls menu that you wish to use for these buttons by left-clicking the function (such as Jump) and then click the Thumb button that you wish to assign this function to and then go into the game and see if this resolves the issue. Note: The Force Push ability defaults to F1 and the Force Heal ability defaults to F5. If you assign your 4th and 5th mouse buttons to other functions in the game, while they are set in your Intellipoint Mouse Properties menu to "F1 (Help)" and "F5 (Refresh)" then you will have to assign new hotkeys for the Force Push and Force Heal abilities under the in-game Force Powers menu. You can still use F2 to F4 and F6 to F12. You can also experiment with other button assignments for the "Large Thumb Button" (4th button) and the "Small Thumb Button" (5th button) in your Intellipoint Mouse Properties menu to achieve a similar work-around solution. After playing the game you might want to open the Intellipoint Mouse Properties menu again and reassign the buttons to their original/default settings if you use other functions for these mouse buttons in other applications. You will need to change the mouse button assignments here whenever you wish to play the game if you do not want to keep these mouse button assignments after playing the game.
