Locke101 Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 Ok for those of you who use GTK Radiant have any of you had thsi problem. I've tried compiling in GTK Radiant but all it does is write the .bsp and thats it. No vis. no light, and its really ticking me off. I then try compiling with Jk2Radiant, it compiles right but certain brushes in my map are missing. This is really getting me mad. I've spent countless hours trying to get GTK Radiant to compile. Can anyone help me??? Note: i am using BSP FULL VIS, and i sent an e-mail to the people who nmake GTK and they have not responded yet making me think they're never going to reply. i am using: Gtk Radiant 1.2.10 Windows XP Home P4 1.4 ghz 384 mb Rambus Mem
Locke101 Posted July 25, 2002 Author Posted July 25, 2002 come on, someone must have some sort of clue!?!?!
Takeoffyouhoser Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 Just download JK Radiant and use it to compile your level...
volrathxp Posted July 25, 2002 Posted July 25, 2002 sounds like your full vis command is messed up maybe. Did you try FullVis(Extra)?
Locke101 Posted July 25, 2002 Author Posted July 25, 2002 i did and it still doesn't want to compile, it just writes the .bsp. oh and TakeOffYouHoser, i already said taht i tried compiling JK2Radiant, but certain brushes that i recently added are not a ppearing in the compile.
Takeoffyouhoser Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 Ya, haha.. I didn't see that there... oh well...
Emon Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 I'd say maybe you have a leak, but I don't think GTK will even run the compile if you have a leak. Try the bobToolz evil brush remover, see if that helps.
Locke101 Posted July 26, 2002 Author Posted July 26, 2002 there is no leak, i know that for sure. Its like GTK radiant hates my computer....
RichDiesal Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 Its like GTK radiant hates my computer.... Wouldn't surprise me.
Emon Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 GTK only won't work on your computer if: 1. Your computer sucks. 2. You are too incompetant to install it properly.
Locke101 Posted July 26, 2002 Author Posted July 26, 2002 hey installed it right!!!!!!!!!!! #2 my computer doesn't suck! anyways, i used the default set up for GTK Radiant JK2 settings, is that good or shoudl i of changed them?
Locke101 Posted July 26, 2002 Author Posted July 26, 2002 XP isn't that bad. It runs games really good, and its not like with the old windows where to took a LONG time to get of games. XP is a rather good the best windows yet. ugh, but i don't see how its XP, i compiled the map in JK Radiant even though some of the brushes were missing. And further more i am made at the people who make GTK, i e-mailed them like at teh beginning of the week adn still no reply. !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Karshaddii Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 1. XP HOME SUCKS 2. XP Proffesional ROCKS 3. It's not your memory--good night--how much did 384 RAMBUS cost you??? 250-300?
~Rebel_Monkey~ Posted July 27, 2002 Posted July 27, 2002 hmm.. thats a wierd bug, but i have seen other people in the forums with this problem (at least i think so) but i dont know where... sorry, i guess this is kind of a useless post unless you want to search the entire site for it...
