Emon Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 I can't believe Radiant can't rotate a misc_model on the Z axis. That's just a load of crap!
monsoontide Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 Thanks Rich, Guess I'll just have to look into a way to script it - will save that for the SP version of my map though. MP is current priority though. (I hope the new DOOM 3 editor -when it arrives - will allow for this sort of thing AND concave brushes!!!!) Just need a JK3 with the DOOM3 engine ;-) Monsootide.
monsoontide Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 I guess judging by what I've read and tried that there is no way to get a MD3 model to rotate (Spin) on the spot? Can it be done via scripting? Anyone know where to reference Dewback sounds? Thanks Monsoontide
monsoontide Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 Am I also correct in the belief that curve patches cannot be part of a func_train? Does that apply to func_rotate as well? Thanks Monsoontide
MDL_Sas Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 you can rotate a model in a map by adding an angle but not by rotating selections z axis
ViNYL_VeNGeaNCe Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 I noticed that too. I've been using the angle function in the entity info. Say you wanted to angle a tree model at like 15-20 degrees...like to make it parallel with a slight incline. Is it possible?
monsoontide Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 Thanks... Yes, I know how to rotate an MD3, what I am interested in is actually having it spin like a top. Monsoontide
RichDiesal Posted July 26, 2002 Posted July 26, 2002 I believe that can be done in scripting... if you want it to angle the model to be parallel with an incline, I there's a set_pitch (I think) command in behaved that will (i think) do that. There's always a yaw command... If you want it to spin, you could script it to change its angle constantly, I suppose...
